Located in Ciudad Universitaria, designed by the Venezuelan architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva is considered as the most prestigious faculty of architecture in the country.

It was one of the last buildings constructed of the master plan of Villanueva for the University City in the middle of the XX century; now a World Heritage Site together with the complete complex of the UCV since 2000.

​

There are characteristics that make this work modern and innovative for its construction time; among them, the use of reinforced concrete to leave a clean work, the use of open blocks of different sizes and shapes that play with the tropical climate of the city, parasols, as well as the exhibition of artistic works done by artists such as Pascual Navarro, Mateo Manaure, among others within the faculty.

Today the deterioration of the building is evident; caused by the lack of maintenance of it for years due to lack of budget and the policies of the State; nevertheless, the work still maintains its essence and the beauty that has characterized it since its creation, especially for the life that brings its students and the little maintenance they do and that is within their reach.

Ubicado en Ciudad Universitaria, diseñado por el arquitecto venezolano Carlos Raúl Villanueva es considerada como la facultad de arquitectura de mayor prestigio del país.

Fue uno de los últimos edificios construidos del plan mestro de Villanueva para la Ciudad Universitaria a mediados el siglo XX; hoy en día Patrimonio de la Humanidad en conjunto con el complejo completo de la UCV desde el año 2000.

​

Existen características que hace a la obra moderna e innovadora para su época de construcción;  entre ellas el uso del concreto armado, dejar la obra en limpio a la vista, el uso de bloques calados de distintos tamaños y formas que juegan con el clima tropical de la ciudad, parasoles, así como la exposición de obras artísticas hechas por artistas como Pascual Navarro, Mateo Manaure, entre otros dentro de la facultad.

Hoy en día el deterioro del edificio es evidente; causado por la falta de mantenimiento del mismo por años  por falta de presupuesto y las políticas del Estado; sin embargo la obra aún mantiene su esencia y la belleza que lo ha caracterizado desde su creación, especialmente por la vida que le trae sus estudiantes y el poco mantenimiento que hacen y que les está a su alcance.
